These mini pies are loosely inspired by the good old Karanji, but made with a difference. Here deeply caramelized coconut is sweetened with prunes, green raisin and dates. We add a dollop of Dark chocolate pudding along with the coconut giving it a beautifully toasty, caramelly bounty sort of flavour profile. The pastry is flaky and buttery and a perfect vehicle for the moreish & gooey filling.
Add a scoop of ice cream and it's a legit dessert, but we think the best way to enjoy this is with a cup of black coffee!
