Wholegrain Oat Digestive

To think that digestives biscuits originated in Scotland is always surprising to me. We are so inherently familiar with it, having seen it consumed in our households since childhood - marie and digestive were ever present in my parent's home and was part of their daily tea time and for my father, it still is. 

We reached back into this piece of nostalgia while coming up with our version of these iconic biscuits. Firstly, we introdcuced oats into the picture which is toasty and oddly buttery. We make these biscuits with unrefined wheat flour and unrefined sugars which adds a beautiful malty note while the butter adds flakiness and crumble.
